A few months ago, I bought a used pair of Dr. Martens online. It was a risky buy, but they were fairly cheap, and people generally are happy for the brand, so I thought I could as well give them a try.
It turn out that they are really nice to wear and I have been very please with the comfort, and look of the boots. Now, I am looking into buying more boots from Dr. Martens, but I can’t find the model that I like!
I have narrowed it down to 6-eye lace-up ankle boots in leather, but the main issue that I am having is, that the ones that I have, are lined with some sort of fabric on the inside, instead of rough leather.
I even tried looking up the codes on the tongue of the boot. There I found a code called AF500 along with SH 09 X printed on the inside, where the shoe sizes are located. These did not give many clues, but after some time, I realized that the printed information about Bonny Leather, is not some sort of leather, but the actual shoe model
They call it Bonny Leather not because the leather type is called Bonny but the shoe is called Bonny and is available in many types of materials.
This turns out to be a pretty popular model, but for the time being, is not available any more. That said, they seem to come in and out of production. I will keep an eye out for them though, as I really like using them and even like the different colors that they seem to have been available in.
